NASSA Silver
a) Straddle or tuck jump entry from the side of the pool and swim 100
metres within 4 minutes
b) Demonstrate ability to “drown-proof” for 1 minute
c) Tread water using 1 arm, with 1 arm at the back of the body for 1 minute
d) Tread water using both arms immediately for 3 minutes
e) Undress in water, make float with attire and use it to swim 25 metres
using legs only
f) Swim 200 metres using backstroke, swim 200 metres using sidestroke,
swim 400 metres using front stroke (breaststroke / freestyle)
g) During the course of this swim (front stroke), the participant must
execute 2 dives: 1 head 1st and 1 leg 1st. (Each dive must swim submerged
for at least 5 metres)
h) Climb out from the deep end of the pool using the use of steps or
assistance
