F1 (New Beginners)

Description: For children who are completely new in the water or who have water phobia

Min. Age Requirement: 4 years old

Skills to be taught: Water Confidence Skills & Breaststroke

Criteria to be promoted to Fchamps 2:

a)   Water Confidence Exercise

b)  Prone Glide and Recovery

c)   Breaststroke Kicking – 50 metres

d)  Breaststroke Swim – 25 metres

F2 (Elementary)

Description: For children who have passed the water confidence stage and able to swim Breaststroke

Skills to be taught: Freestyle & Survival Backstroke

Criteria to be promoted to Fchamps 3:

a)   Breaststroke Swim – 400 metres

b)  Tread Water – 3 minutes

c)   Freestyle Swim – 25 metres

d)  Survival Backstroke – 25 metres

e)   Passed NASSA Bronze Test

Description: For children who have passed the NASSA Bronze Award

Skills to be taught: Backstroke & Sidekick

Criteria to be promoted to Fchamps 4:

a)   Freestyle Swim – 50 metres

b)  Backstroke Swim – 25 metres

c)   Passed NASSA Silver Test

Description: For children who have passed the NASSA Silver Award

Skills to be taught: Butterfly

Criteria to be promoted to Fchamps 5:

a)   Freestyle Swim – 100 metres

b)  Backstroke Swim – 50 metres

c)   Butterfly Swim – 25 metres

d)  Passed NASSA Gold Test

Description: For children who have passed the NASSA Gold Award

Skills to be taught: Individual Medley

Criteria to advance into Competitive Swimming or Life saving:

a)   Individual Medley – 200 metres

b)  Passed NASSA Gold Star Test
